In 2001, Manotick became part of the city of Ottawa.
In 2002, the City of Ottawa listed populations for Manotick 4,761;
North Gower 1,623; Richmond 3,663; Kars 630; 0sgoode 2,643;
Metcalfe 1,875. Manotick had the lowest proportion of people in
their 20's (less than 14%), the lowest proportion 30-44 year old
(less than 20%), and the highest percentage 45-64 (more than 27%).
In 2006 Manotick's estimated population was 7,545 according to
Wikipedia.org (unverified).
In 2010, Minto's plan to build 1400 homes on 430 acres on the south
side of Manotick, between Century Road and Main Street, will double
the population.
